Programs that you no longer need to use – or don’t completely know what they’re for any more – should be removed from your computer. So, uninstall any programs that are not being used.
These especially include the notorious browser add-on bars like the Bing bar, Google toolbar, Yahoo bar, or Ask.com bar. These are so unnecessary that I’m surprised they still exist!
Other programs take up considerable disk space, too. So uninstalling them will help free up some storage, which also increases performance.
If you’re not sure of which programs you should remove, try a quick web search for the name of the program along with “safe to remove” or “can I uninstall.” This will return helpful information to make the best decision.
